Whangamata sunrise
Maybe it’s not surprising given I was born and raised in Liverpool, England but heat really is not my thing. This is the time of year I love best and the last few days of stunning blue skies and frosts have been a perfect example of that ‘great to be alive’ weather that I love. I’ve run for an hour or two each day – in the Wentworth Valley (Coromandel), early morning on Whangamata Beach (saw the sun come up) and today around the western suburbs of Auckland. Cold hands and an extra layer for warmth, even a beanie and leggings, but for me there’s no better time of year for running….

Mal,
You would enjoy the climate down in sunny Chch. A bit round ZERO this morning. Not a cloud in the sky.
Spare room here if you feel like some new training terrain.
