West Coast Cracker!

Mine were the only footprints on Whites Beach

Mine were the only footprints on Whites Beach

Another Wednesday, another long run. And what a cracker it was – a beautiful crisp, blue sky early winter’s day. Started out from Piha and headed north to totally deserted Whites and Anawhata beaches. From here found a ‘secret’ track that I had heard about but never been on – at first good going, then a bit of a bush bash but all good fun. This popped me out above Anawhata again from where I headed back south, before heading into the hills on a big loop that finished several hours later back at Piha. Then the best bit – the world’s best pepper steak pie from the Piha shop! Quite possibly the most enjoyable run of the year so far. Check out the photos on the Flickr site.
