Tip for the day: ignore Homer

Homer wisdomDon’t get me wrong about Homer Simpson – he is a comic genius – but when it comes to life guidance I tend to seek inspiration elsewhere. I was reminded of this last night when 7in7 delivered another unexpected benefit in the form of an email from a friend who I had lost touch with over the years (she had just read about 7in7 and very kindly made a donation). I had often stopped to wonder “where is Sue these days?” but the last place I would have expected her to be was in Pakistan! Turns out that this accomplished multisport athlete is over there doing humanitarian work near the Afghan border – wow! now there’s a push-the-envelope experience to inspire others with. Sue signed off her email with a quote from one Edward Hale. I thought I’d share this with you all…. “I am only one, but I am one.  I cannot do everything, but I can do something. And, I will not let what I cannot do interfere with what I can do”…. okay, back to work everyone!
