Howdy folks!

Mongolia, here we come!

PlaneNow counting down the final few hours before boarding our plane. This time tomorrow we will be in Beijing en route for Mongolia, where I am running in the Sunrise to Sunset mountain marathon. Unfortunately I spent half of last night sitting on the toilet with diarrhoea and feel pretty washed up today – but better to get it out of the way now I guess. My training will continue while away with a light run or two before the big race and most likely on a treadmill in the hotel gym in Beijing, if the humidity and smog are as bad as everyone tells me! I’ll try to keep these updates coming – with some great photos I hope – but not sure what the internet access is like in the remote Mongolian mountains!

  1. Hi Mal – have a FANTASTIC time and good on you for fulfilling this dream. You are truly inspirational.
Just as an aside, we feel like we are living in Dunedin…it has been raining for days and the Barossa is water logged, green, wet, cold and windy..a true winter at last…. the best in 19 years apparently!!
We hope you have good weather for your adventure. Keep safe and enjoy. Best wishes to Sal also…what a woman!

    Cheers
