John's brother Paul died of leukaemia aged 11

Great news! My good mate John Gundesen has just signed up as a Support Runner for the Routeburn leg of the 7in7 Challenge. John’s participation has special significance as he also lost a brother to leukaemia at a young age. So while John hasn’t done a lot of running in the last few years (some excuse about being a new dad, sleepless nights etc) he is very highly motivated to help make a difference to the thousands of kiwis that the Leukaemia & Blood Foundation is supporting. He is also a stubborn, determined kind of a guy (just ask his wife Bernice!) so I know he will be a great addition to the team. Thanks John, welcome to our crazy adventure. This one’s for both our bro’s mate!
