The final piece in the jigsaw

Sounds Air LogoAt last. After months of plotting, phoning people, sending out emails, cajoling and pleading, even grovelling, we have the final important part of the great Logistics Puzzle solved. This morning I met with the very affable Andrew Crawford, Managing Director of Sounds Air. He has offered to fly me (and a few support runners if need be) FREE OF CHARGE from The Chateau Tongariro to Motueka, using one of Sounds Air’s 6-seater charter planes. This will make a huge difference to my recovery post-Tongariro and should mean a much fresher start on the Abel Tasman than would have been possible if we’d been driving and ferrying through the night! Huge thanks to Andrew and his business partner Steve Handyside for making this possible – you guys are legends!
