Let the tour begin!

I am sitting at the airport waiting to board a plane to Christchurch where I will pick up my cooler-than-cool Roadcraft Overland Camping Vehicle for a week long road trip around the top half of the South Island. I have some serious running planned that should amount to at least 160kms over the week and will give me my first taste of the Heaphy Track - the crux of the whole Challenge. This promises to be so much more fun than liaising with insurance companies and dealing with the aftermath of our recent burglary that have robbed me of running time over the last couple of days. Yeeha….
