10……

The count down has commenced….. 10 days to go…. a good time to reflect on the hundreds of people who have helped make my rather crazy dream a reality. I can’t possibly single out everyone, but today I want to recognise the contribution of Grant Watson, co-owner of the Park Lodge, National Park. Grant was one of the first people to hear about 7in7 – a Mike Hosking interview on 1ZB I think it was – and he immediately offered free lodging and meals to me, my support runners and crew while we were in National Park between days 1 and 2 of the Challenge. This wonderful gesture has now grown into a full-on fundraising party to which the whole local community has been invited. Grant has even brought in a professional auctioneer to hold a fundraising auction as part of proceedings. So if you are going to be anywhere near National Park on Sunday 29th November come join in the fun at The Spiral Bar, The Park Travellers’ Lodge from 5pm onwards. Happy hour prices all night and $2 from every drink bought goes to the Leukaemia & Blood Foundation. Or if you have something that you think we might be able to include in the auction please get in touch.
