Icebreaker
I have long been a fan of Icebreaker gear – it’s a brand I just can’t help admiring. It’s warmth and ‘no stink’ qualities are legendary, but I have also found their garments to be a long-distance runner’s dream for another reason….. they help prevent chafing. Compared to relatively harsh man-made fabrics I find Icebreaker merino is soft against the skin and rubs a whole lot less. Using their Run socks in last year’s 7in7 was definitely a key ingredient in completing 360kms of trail running without a single blister.
So I am thrilled that they are once again on board as sponsors of the 7in7 Challenge 2010. The team at Icebreaker are super-enthusiastic and very supportive of the event, helping in all kinds of ways. But most importantly of course is the product that they are supplying for me to run in – cool GT150 tops (same as used last year, just a new colour) and the awesome Run socks.
